the Student Consumer Information Requirements established by the United States Department of Education and hereby serves notice that the Director of Student Financial Aid and office staff are the persons designated under those requirements to assist the student or prospective student in obtaining information regarding student financial assistance.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1134\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Veterans Services<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1134\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1134\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Veterans Services<\/h1><p>The University is approved by the Florida State Approving Agency to offer training to veterans.<\/p><p>Upon enrollment, the student should notify the Business and Records Office of VA eligibility so that necessary enrollment certification forms can be sent to the VA. The university offers only administrative \u201crecord-keeping\u201d assistance to veterans and is not responsible for determining eligibility for VA benefits.<\/p><p>There are many Veterans Administration rules and regulations that students should be aware of regarding courses offered off campus, such as independent study courses taken by audit (no benefits) and \u201cI\u201d grades. It is the student\u2019s responsibility to inquire concerning all VA rules and regulations and to report any changes in status that affect these benefits. Additionally, VA benefits will be terminated for students dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons and can be reinstated only after counseling and VA approval.<\/p><p>To get started, the student should contact the Department of Veterans Affairs (National number: 1-888-442-4551 or local: PO Box 1437, St. Petersburg, FL 33731) and request a list of all the forms and steps needed to complete the process.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1135\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Guidance & Career Education<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1135\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1135\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Guidance &amp; Mentoring<\/h1><p>The Academic Office offers students curriculum assistance, career information, and guidance in the personal, vocational, and academic aspects that may impede the student\u2019s attainment of a college education. Counselors assist students individually in making appropriate educational, vocational, and personal choices. The office coordinates assisted institutional services for students with special needs.<\/p><p>Course selection is critical to student success; therefore, students should make an appointment with either their Program Coordinator, Academic Director, or Registrar Officer to confirm proper course selection prior to registration. Previously taken courses and the grades earned will be reviewed and analyzed to determine appropriate course placement at Polytechnic University \u2013 Orlando Campus.<\/p><p>Career education awareness is presented at workshops, seminars, colloquia, and receptions with notable guests.
