data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1562\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Bursar Duties<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinates enrollment and billing.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees the overall operations of student financial services, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions of the university.<\/li>\n<li>Plans and arranges the financial portion of registrations.<\/li>\n<li>Insures accurate statements of charges and monthly statements.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees the university\u2019s cashier responsibilities and ensures proper deposit activities.<\/li>\n<li>Plans, organizes and directs all bursar office activities related to registration including fee payment and cash receiving.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews cash receiving and financial aid disbursement.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1563\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Payment Procedures<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1563\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1563\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Payment Procedures<\/h1>\n<p>Tuition and fees are payable in full during the registration period, or prior to the first day of classes.&nbsp; Students may opt to defer payment for thirty (30) days at a cost of the deferred payment fee, after paying at least 50% of total cost (including other financial aid).&nbsp; The \u201cdeferred payment\u201d will allow the student a grace period after the first day of classes to pay the remaining balance without paying \u201clate charges.\u201d&nbsp; The registration process is not complete until all fees have been paid or proper arrangement for deferred payment has been made.&nbsp; Late charges on pending balances are 2.0% per month.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1564\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Collection Policy<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1564\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1564\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Collection Policy<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition and fees due from previous terms of study must be paid in full <strong>prior<\/strong> to the student registering for any additional courses.<\/li>\n<li>Any balance remaining after 30 days will be subject to a 1.5% monthly charge.<\/li>\n<li>Balances remaining unpaid after 180 days will be subject to a collection fee of $20 plus the 2.0% monthly charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who requested financial aid or veteran benefits must consult the Financial Aid Coordinator before their registration may be completed.<\/p>\n<p>Payments of fees can be made either in cash, money order, a certified check, Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover Card.&nbsp; Failure to pay any University fees when due may result in administrative withdrawal and\/or in with holding copies of student\u2019s academic records or other documents.&nbsp; Students with pending balances on their accounts are not permitted to enroll in subsequent trimesters.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1565\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Refund Policies<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1565\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1565\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h1>Refund\u00a0Policies<\/h1>\nThe Bursar\u2019s Office is responsible for complying with the refund policy established by the Institution. These policies take into consideration institutional and current federal regulations. The student must request a drop\/withdrawal in accordance with the Academic Calendar for the refund to be applied. The policies will be applied as follows for any withdrawal (partial or total) requested by a student:\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pupr.edu\/orlando\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Int-Refund-Policy-Reg-Term-1.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36288 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pupr.edu\/orlando\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Int-Refund-Policy-Reg-Term-1.png\"  alt=\"\" width=\"1254\" height=\"357\" \/><\/a>\n\n<em>* Drop Charges will apply.\u00a0 **Census date is the cutoff date for aid calculation.<\/em>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pupr.edu\/orlando\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Int-Refund-Policy-Summer-1.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36289 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pupr.edu\/orlando\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Int-Refund-Policy-Summer-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1258\" height=\"361\" \/><\/a>\n\n&nbsp;\n\n<strong>Financial Delinquency<\/strong>\n\nIf a student does not meet its financial obligations within the stipulated dates, the Collection Policy of Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico states that:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ol>\n \t<li>Tuition and fees from previous terms of study must be paid in full, prior to the student registering for the current trimester.<\/li>\n \t<li>After the defer date (30 days after the beginning of the term), any outstanding balance will be subject to 2% monthly interest.<\/li>\n \t<li>After 180 days, outstanding balances will be subject to an additional collection fee if the University refers these to legal divisions or collection agencies.<\/li>\n \t<li>If PUPR is obliged to take legal action for the collection of this debt, the student will be responsible for costs, disbursements and other fees incurred in the collection, as determined by the corresponding Court.<\/li>\n \t<li>Debtors will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Court of First Instance, San Juan Municipal Division.<\/li>\n \t<li>Debtor students may be excluded from graduation ceremonies. The University may also withhold grades, issuance of transcripts, degrees, diplomas, certificates of good standing or other official documents to any student whose account is in arrears.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n&nbsp;\n\nInactive students may be granted a Payment Plan to pay-off their outstanding balances. This agreement with Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico is held in association with United Credit Bureau. If students fail to comply with the payment plan, they may be referred to legal divisions or collection agencies.
