11th Commencement Ceremony of Polytechnic University-Miami Campus

On Wednesday, June 17th, friends and family gathered at the InterContinental at Doral Miami to celebrate the 11th Commencement Ceremony of Polytechnic University-Miami Campus.

The procession was led by the graduates of the Master’s programs followed by the Bachelor’s, faculty, deans and President of Polytechnic University. As the graduates found their seats, the deans, faculty, special guest and President ascended the stage and faced the crowd of 200 family, friends and guests. Of the 42 graduates, 29 were Master’s students and 13 were Bachelor’s.

President Ernesto Vázquez Barquet welcomed the audience, followed by encouraging remarks by our guest speaker, Luis De Rosa, President of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of South Florida.

Following Mr. De Rosa’s inspiring message, the graduates walked across the stage to shake hands with the President, Miami Campus Academic Dean, and faculty, followed by an enthusiastic applause from friends and family. Student Harry Román Vera graduated Summa Cum Laude and was presented with a medal by the President of the University.

Immediately following the commencement ceremony, graduates, friends and family joined faculty and staff for a cocktail reception. MBA graduate Sofía Yanez-Malik entertained guests with a lovely rendition of the Italian opera, ‘O Sole Mio.
