A psychological disorder is defined as a wide range of mental conditions that affect mood, thinking, and behavior. Some common disorders within this category are: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Major Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, etc.
A physical disability is defined as a physical impairment which has a substantial and long term effect on their ability to carry our day-to-day activities. Specific impairments can include but are not limited to vision, hearing, mobility, etc.
Polytechnic University is committed to helping students with disabilities obtain academic accommodations and support and to help improve access to the programs and activities offered by the University. Our services include evaluating disability documentation, referral and coordination of services according to students’ needs, consulting with agencies that specializes in services for persons with disabilities, arranging academic accommodations and providing disability management. We also coordinate with other departments, both academic and administrative, to meet student’s needs.
