About

Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR) is a private, non-profit, co-educational higher education institution founded in September 1966. The main campus is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, quite close to the Milla de Oro banking district in Hato Rey. The main academic disciplines are Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Computer Science, and Business Administration. At the present time, it is the largest private Engineering School in Puerto Rico and the only one in the municipality of San Juan. It is also the Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in the United States with the largest number of ABET-accredited programs. In 2001 and 2003, the University opened new campuses in the cities of Miami and Orlando, Florida, respectively.

PUPR offers Undergraduate Micro-credentials in: Clinical Engineering and Biomechanics of Sports; Cybersecurity Fundamentals in: Network Security, Forensics, Reverse Engineering & Ethical Hacking and in Data Science Fundamentals in Machine Learning, Data Engineering & Deep Learning. The institution also offers a Micro-credential in Business Fundamentals.

PUPR offers online Undergraduate Certificates in: Cybersecurity (UCCySec) and Web Development Design (UCWDD). (Undergraduate Certificate Offering)

PUPR offers Associate degrees of Engineering in: Software Development and Supply Chain and Logistics. The institution also offers Associate degrees in: Land Surveying and Mechanical Engineering. PUPR also offers an Associate degree in Product Design. (Associate Degree Offering)

PUPR offers Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Land Surveying and Mapping, and Computer Science; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Majors in: Accounting, Construction Management, Entrepreneurship, General Management, and Marketing. At the graduate level, the academic offerings are: Graduate Certificate in: Digital Forensics, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, and Information Assurance and Security; Master of Science (MS) in: Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Competitiveness, and Manufacturing Engineering; Master of Engineering in: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering; Master in: Computer Science, Engineering Management, Environmental Management, Geospatial Science and Technology, Landscape Architecture, and Manufacturing Competitiveness; Master of Business Administration in: Computer Information Systems (E–Commerce & Data Base), General and Interdisciplinary, and International Enterprises; Doctorate degree of Philosophy in Engineering and Applied Sciences. PUPR is fully authorized by the Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions of Puerto Rico (JIPs), the state licensing agency, and accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) of the U.S.A.
