About

Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR) is a private, non-profit, co-educational higher education institution founded in September 1966. The main campus is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, quite close to the Milla de Oro banking district in Hato Rey. The main academic disciplines are Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Computer Science, and Business Administration. At the present time, it is the largest private Engineering School in Puerto Rico and the only one in the municipality of San Juan. It is also the Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in the United States with the largest number of ABET-accredited programs. In 2001 and 2003, the University opened new campuses in the cities of Miami and Orlando, Florida, respectively.

PUPR offers Undergraduate Micro-credentials in: Clinical Engineering and Biomechanics of Sports; Cybersecurity Fundamentals in: Network Security, Forensics, Reverse Engineering & Ethical Hacking and in Data Science Fundamentals in Machine Learning, Data Engineering & Deep Learning. The institution also offers a Micro-credential in Business Fundamentals.

PUPR is fully authorized by the Puerto Rico Board of Postsecondary Institutions of Puerto Rico (JIPs), the state licensing agency, and accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) of the U.S.A.
